The use of our website implies agreement to all Terms and Conditions outlined in the following statement:

We will ship merchandise within 48 hours of your order, unless your items are on backorder, or you ordered an item marked “special” (see information on back-orders and special items below.) Our online shopping section also has custom wood items that can be ordered; these items are not manufactured until after the order is placed, and the appropriate shipping times are listed on these products. Please double-check that all information entered is complete and ACCURATE. You will be notified via email with a confirmation of your order usually within a couple of minutes after the order is placed. Should you notice an error in your order, please contact us at info@scherrs.com.

Pricing:

Every effort has been made to ensure that pricing is correct and regularly updated. If an item ordered is incorrectly priced, Scherr’s reserves the right to adjust pricing to the accurate level. The Customer will be contacted in advance of any increased adjustments and given the option of accepting the corrected price or canceling the order without charge. All prices shown are in US Dollars. Conversion to foreign-currency rates will be dictated by your credit card provider.

Payment:

All orders received on this website are subject to payment before shipping. We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit cards for orders placed on our secure server (for security issues see "Privacy and Security" below.) Please note, as part of the credit card verification process, it is necessary to enter the address to which your credit card issuer sends your statement in the billing address section. You may choose to enter an alternative address for delivery in the section provided.

If you prefer to pay by check select “Pay on invoice” for your payment option. By sending a cashier check for payment - your order will be sent within 24 hours of receiving the check. You may also send a personal check or business check - your order will ship after your check has cleared the bank (5 to 10 days.
Shipping and Handling:
UPS will be used for shipping to the 48 continental states. The online catalog will calculate the shipping charges as you complete the order. Most US orders will arrive in 5 to 10 days.

Orders shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands will be shipped via USPS (United States Postal Service.) You will be informed of the correct shipping charges in your confirmation that will be sent via email. Most orders shipped to these areas will arrive in 8 to 20 days.

On International Shipments, you are responsible for additional duties and/or taxes. These charges will be assessed by local officials and billed to you separately. Please contact your local customs office for information on the costs you are responsible for including information on any restricted items. On International orders, we will contact you with the shipping costs before processing your order. International Shipments may require 2 to 6 weeks for delivery (except Canada in which most orders will arrive in 6 to 10 days.)
State and Local Taxes:
North Dakota residents must add 5% for state sales tax plus city/county sales tax if applicable (This information is current as of 2017. You can find current North Dakota tax information at the ND tax website). We will not charge sales tax to anyone outside of North Dakota - you are responsible for any local sales taxes or use taxes that may be due according to local, state, and/or federal tax laws.
Returns & Refunds:
We guarantee your satisfaction with our products. If you would like to return merchandise, please call (701) 839-3384 or email info@scherrs.com for an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number. Most of the products in our catalog may be returned within 10 days after the delivery date for a full refund of the product price (shipping charges are not refundable.) Some custom wood items are made to your sizes and/or specs when placing your order, these items are not returnable and will be indicated on the shopping site for that item. Credit card purchases will be credited back to the same card used for the order. Please enclose proof of purchase. All returned merchandise must be in resale condition and returned prepaid in the original packaging - packed inside another master carton. We recommend that you return your merchandise via an insured carrier; we are not responsible for lost or damaged items in returns. Shipping of items back to Scherr’s must be paid for by the Customer.

The return of “special items” are subject to a 15% restocking fee. A special item is indicated with a graphic logo, a star and the text “Special Item."
Back-orders:

All items in our catalog are stocked in depth, but sometimes shortages do occur. You will not be charged for back-ordered items until they are ready to ship. No additional shipping costs will be charged to your account. You will be informed which products, if any, are back-ordered in the confirmation sent to your email address. We will also give you an estimated ship date at this time for any back-ordered items.  Back-ordered items will be shipped by UPS Ground or Priority Mail. International orders will not be shipped until all items are in stock.
Canceling an Order:

If you have already received your order, carefully repackage and return the items to us at the address shown above. We will credit the price of the canceled products once we have received and checked them, see Returns and Refunds above. We will not refund any postage costs incurred.

Damaged Shipments:

Some products may be damaged during transit, although this rarely happens it is important to protect yourself in the event something may happen. Inspect all packages immediately in the presence of the delivery person. Do not accept a package with obvious external damage until all pieces have been inspected. Failure to comply with this policy may result in a denial for a damage claim. Once the package leaves our facility, it is out of our control so the following specific guidelines must be followed:

  1. All packages must be inspected in the presence of the delivery person.
  2. If the driver does not let you do this, make sure the driver notes it on the bill of lading that he did not allow you to inspect the item and that there were visual signs of damage on the outside of the container. (Note: If a damaged item is refused, we can send a replacement once the damaged item is returned to us and before a damage claim settlement is issued. If the damaged item is not returned, we can only send a replacement after we have been issued settlement from a damage claim.)
  3. All orders are quality checked before leaving, please never judge a package by only looking at the box condition.
  4. To get any type of credit or replacement, the damage must be noted on the bill of lading and refused so that we may be able to file a claim for you. If damage is not noted, it is the Customer’s responsibility to file a claim.
  5. The Customer must verify that they have provided a correct shipping/contact information in your email confirmation. Once a shipment has left our facility, the Customer is responsible for any address change charges, re-shipping or freight line storage fees due to address/contact errors. Order confirmations are automatically generated and sent to the email address provided within a few minutes of the order being completed. If you have not received an order confirmation, contact us so that we may forward a copy to you at the correct email address.
  6. Do not refuse a shipment for any other reason other than shipping damages. General returns, incorrect items or defective items; you must first obtain a return authorization prior to returning the item.

Warranty:

Products sold are subject to manufacturer's warranty. No additional warranty, explicit or implied will be accepted without written authorization from Scherr’s.
Privacy and Security:

Scherr’s will keep ALL information on our Customers confidential. We will NOT sell or rent any information to outside companies. Any information collected from our Customers is strictly for our own internal use.

The part of our web site that collects critical data (credit card numbers, addresses, etc.) utilizes the latest SSL (Secure Socket Layer) through GlobeCharge and the credit card information is processed by Authorize.net. All information is encrypted before an order is sent to our server. We do NOT store any information about our Customers (including credit card numbers) on our local server, which is connected to the Internet.

If you still feel uncomfortable sending your information to us via the Internet, when placing your order click on the printer icon to print your order. You can then fax, mail, email or phone your order to us.
